Biography

Big B

Everyone likes to root for the underdog and hope that they pull off the upset of the century. It’s the appeal of watching someone come out of left field with a belly full of fire and desire that the top dogs will never have and using it to catapult to the top. At first glance, the 330 pound Las Vegas native known as Big B is about as unconventional as you can get, but after proving his skills by crawling through the ranks of the underground, he’s come flying out of left field as the “American Underdog” with his fourth studio album.

"Rapping has always come easy to me and it would have been just as easy to turn out another album about sex and drugs, but that's like being stuck playing Guitar Hero on easy. Eventually you just get bored of it and want something more challenging," says the Las Vegas heavyweight.

With his forth studio effort, "American Underdog", Big B has taken his sound ventured out on a musical expedition into uncharted territory. Big B has elevated his sound to the next level by trading in his tried and tested hip-hop beats in favor the more earthly sound of the guitars and drums, while embracing the eclectic contemporary alt-rock of artists like Everlast and Citizen Cope. Big B has embraced his melodic side and stepped up his songwriting sensibilities to produce a career defining album that will solidify him as one of the genre's premier artists and songwriters.

As always Big B keeps things the only way he knows how; raw and honest. His brand of outlaw hip-hop has made him a modern day rebel ala Johnny Cash utilizing beats and rhymes to buck trends and challenge listener’s expectations. Digging deep into his creativity, Big B goes toe to toe with Scott Russo from alt-rockers Unwritten Law on his new breakthrough single of "Sinner".

Big B also was introduced to a different audience in 2006 when he became one of the cast members of the A&E hit television series INKED. The show focused on the Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company, where Big B works with freestyle motocross champ Carey Hart' when he's not on the road with his music career. The show quickly become one of the hottest shows on television and one of A&E’s top three rated programs landing Big B a different kind of recognition.

Whether he's confronting personal demons, touting his perseverance or taking it back to his days of street hustling, Big B has evolved musically from the 6"7, 330 pound rhyme spitter to an eclectic artist willing to explore every facet of his creativity to get what he wants from it. Fans that are willing to take the journey through "American Underdog" with Big B will find themselves immersed in rich artistic growth that offers rewarding songs that will stand the test of time.
