This Age Of Silence
Anterior Solidify New Line Up
February 6, 2009
Welsh melodic thrashers, Anterior, have posted an update about what’s been going on while writing their follow up to their debut album, 'This Age of Silence'.

“As you have seen on our MySpace page, after months of searching we have finally found a drummer. Our new sticksman is Andrew Cairns. Andrew did a great job on our recent UK jaunt with All That Remains and The Haunted and has now become a full time member of Anterior. We are very pleased to have him in the fold and we feel that he is a great addition to the band. We are now a complete five piece again and cannot wait for the next appearance as a new band at Hellfire Festival in London soon!

We have added a good array of new live photos from the recent ATR/The Haunted tour on our MySpace so go check it out. Thanks to all of the photographers for the shots, great work!”

The band also comments on writing the new record:
”We are back in writing mode ready to record our new record. We will be recording the album at Grindstone Studios with the mighty Scott Atkins (Sylosis, Romeo Must Die, Madman Is Absolute) and are aiming to have the record out for late summer 2009 with some exciting and fast material to entice your ear drums. For sounds and previous work from Grindstone check out We are really excited to once again be a complete band and will have a new album and touring schedule within the coming months, so keep checking back for updates.”

Anterior’s Metal Blade debut, 'This Age of Silence', is available physically and digitally at this location.

All That Remains Vocalist Phil Labonte Issues 2008 Recap
January 6, 2009
Phil Labonte, vocalist for Massachusetts' modern melodic thrashers, All That Remains, has posted his thoughts on the year that was, and the new year that is just getting started:

"So we had an awesome year last year loaded with so much stuff for me. Started the year with an amazing headline tour. Wrote a record faster than we ever had. First time we recorded anywhere but home. First time with Jason Suecof producing and it came together wonderfully. Had my heart broken. First time on Warped Tour. 'Overcome' debuted in the top 20 on Billboard. It keeps selling like crazy. We had our first song on rock radio. We actually did "Two Weeks" acoustically live on air a few times witch was really nerve racking and awesome. First time we played in South Dakota and Wyoming. Quit smoking. Started eating special K. Lost 20 pounds. We signed a new deal with our label for a couple more records. I got my first car in 4 or 5 years. Started eating way more cheese burgers. Gained 20 pounds. I met an amazing girl. Ended the year better than I've been in years.

This next year looks to be amazing. I know we're gonna be in Europe then Australia this winter. Japan will be after that. Then we will probly be doing something state side. Then we're hoping to make something happen in Europe again. Then a we are hoping to do some kind of summer fest in the US. THEN we'll take a few weeks off. Probly back to Europe or Japan , One more US tour. Then I'll be doing this again. And that stuff is just band stuff. Who knows what cool gadgets, video games, movies, tv shows and other stuff that's gonna come out this coming year. I'm pretty pumped.

So again I'm giving credit where credit is due and saying thank you. To everyone who picked up our disc. Everyone who came out to shows. Everyone who came out the meet n greets. Thanks to everyone who left comments on our page. Who put us in their top friends. Who told people to check our stuff out. Thank you guys so much. It's a great privilege to be able to do what I do. I know I don't answer enough emails and I'm sorry. But thank you for sticking by us. I am indeed a lucky dude."

All That Remains, will hit the road once again later this month on a European co-headlining tour with The Haunted, set for a Jan. 10 start date in Nottingham and wrapping up a little over a month later in Brussels. Support for the tour package will be rounded out by Welsh melodic death metallers Anterior (replacing the recently disbanded Johnny Truant) for the UK dates and Germany’s Deadlock for the mainland European leg of the tour.

All That Remains continues to support the band’s critically-acclaimed fourth full-length, ‘Overcome,’ which saw a September release through Prosthetic/Razor & Tie. The album has already spawned two videos (for the tracks “Two Weeks” and “Chiron”), as well as appearances on this past summer’s Van’s Warped Tour and a recently-completed co-headlining tour of the US with Trivium. Several tracks from ‘Overcome,’ as well as music from All That Remains’ previous album, ‘The Fall of Ideals,’ was also recently released as downloadable content for Rock Band 2.

The band formed in late 2003, as a group of individuals inspired by their passion for metal. At the mere age of 17 they began to create the epic sound that they wield today. Combining thunderous riffs, technically exceptional guitar work, relentless drive, and an abundance of melody, they forged a unique style that captures an ever growing army of fans!

During their short yet illustrious career, they have risen above all, to share stages with household names: DragonForce, The Black Dahlia Murder, Himsa, 3 Inches Of Blood and Mendeed to name but a few. Together with these high profile shows and extensive local radio play Anterior have proven that they push the boundaries of modern musicianship to a new level, competing with bands much older and more established than their selves.

Matured musicianship and the sheer determination and ambition to succeed, helped the band create their first studio recording This Age Of Silence proving technical dexterity and remarkable creativity, that transcends the boundaries of bands today.

The future looks bright for Anterior, their style is original and technically inventive yet surprisingly memorable
