Victory Records Artists To Partake In Record Store Day Event
April 14, 2008
New York City’s Bayside will be performing an acoustic set at the Newbury Comics in Leominster, MA for the first annual Record Store Day on April 19th, 2008, which will encompass events across the country.

“My f avorite part about independent record stores is the dedication to music,” notes Bayside singer, Anthony Raneri. “The bigger chains could be selling records, soap or burritos and wouldn't know the difference. The indies know their product and love it." Currently touring the US with The Starting Line, The band’s re-release of their latest album 'The Walking Wounded', complete with bonus DVD, is out on July 22nd. Their new full-length, tentatively titled 'Shudder', will be produced by David Schiffman (Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, Johnny Cash), and released later this year.

Also taking part in Record Store Day is Minnesota’s Four Letter Lie, who will be performing at West at Dimple Records in Sacramento, CA. They’ll also be signing copies of their latest release, 'What A Terrible Thing To Say'.

The forceful melodies of Across Five Aprils began in September 2001 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. From the moment they first played together, the band knew they had something unique and would bring a new twist to the music scene. Continually writing and constructing fresh material, they decided it was time to record their debut full-length and in March of 2003 "A Tragedy in Progress" was released via Indianola Records. The summer of 2003 was full of non-stop shows and touring, they even garnered in excess of 150,000 plays on before it shut down later in the year. Next on the bands list was recording an MCD for Indianola Records. The MCD entitled Living in the Moment is scheduled for release in September of 2004.
