God Dethroned Announce 'War Propaganda World Tour 2009'
August 25, 2009
God Dethroned will be assaulting North America for the first time since 2007 on the headlining War Propaganda World Tour 2009 in support of their newest album, 'Passiondale'. Henri Sattler and co. will embark on the coast to coast campaign starting on September 30th. Joining the march will be Abigail Williams, Augury and label mates, Woe Of Tyrants. The tour is being sponsored by MetalSucks.net, SMNnews.com and MetalInjection.net. MetalSucks and SMNnews will be giving away some tickets to shows and MetalInjection will be posting video updates from God Dethroned as they tour across the US. Stay tuned for details as they become available.

Henri Sattler
comments on the tour: “Our "Storming the Balkans" tour which we did about a month ago was a test. A test to see if our new band members, Susan and Mike, would be the right people to have in the band for the long tour we have ahead of us. A new world tour starting on September 3rd in Brazil leading us through Peru, Ecuador and Colombia up to Mexico for the first leg of our "War Propaganda World Tour 2009". I'm happy to say that they passed the audition well. On the South American shows, we will be accompanied by Elexorien from Holland and in Colombia also Belphegor will make their appearance. The Mexican shows will be with Entombed, Vital Remains, Master and Lividity o.a.

The second leg of the tour starts on September 30th in Tucson, Arizona with Abigail Williams, Augury and label mates Woe of Tyrants and leads us through the States up to Canada. We are really excited to tour the U.S. again and to promote our latest album 'Passiondale', which was released last April. Our last show in the U.S. was in 2007 so we can't wait to see many of our fans again soon!

On October 21st, we head back to Europe for the third leg of our tour with Endstille and Hollenthon.

As some of you may have noticed already, Roel Sanders does not play drums in God Dethroned anymore. The amount of shows we're playing is much more than we expected and unfortunately Roel could not combine this with his private life and other activities anymore. It was hard to say goodbye to him, but we remain good friends as always. We have welcomed Michiel "Mike" van der Plicht as his replacement on the drum throne and we've already done a number of very successful shows with him. Now we look towards the future with confidence again. See you somewhere on tour."

God Dethroned
has also finished work on a new video for the track "Poison Fog," one of the most lyrically intense songs from 'Passiondale'. Keep an eye out for the video to debut sometime this September! 'Passiondale' is available everywhere now.

Augury Prep For North American Tour With God Dethroned
May 30, 2009
Ready to embark on their first tour of North America in September with Dutch death metallers God Dethroned, New York’s Abigail Williams, and Ohio’s Woe Of Tyrants in support of their Nuclear Blast debut, 'Fragmentary Evidence' (release date: August 11th), members of Montreal’s Augury check in from their rehearsal space in their hometown of Montreal with the following:

“It'll be exciting to spread our music to a larger audience in America,” states guitarist Mathieu Marcotte. “Even though we have never played there yet, we have a lot of fans who are waiting to see us live. The challenge is the same wherever you're playing: to put out your best every night while having fun.”

Drummer Antoine Baril adds: “There are so many great cities that I’ve always been dreaming to visit and it’s even better to know that we will play a show in each one of them. My biggest challenge is to get better and better as a musician at each show and spread energy to the crowd to share the endless passion I have for this music we play.”
“What we expect is a spiral of colliding human bodies, rotating as a single mass, yielding all that energy,” predicts vocalist & guitarist Patrick Loisel. “In the end, it'll be like Godzilla trampled your town!”

In addition to pledging multiple updates during the tour and answering all fan e-mails, Augury's self-described “Archive freak” (Baril) will be uploading video footage from the tour onto the band’s MySpace site.

Complete tour dates are as follows:

This is probably the last sound you would expect out of the desert.

Abigail Williams is an extreme metal band from Arizona, and proof that the best metal doesn't always come from the coldest places

The band won't be conveniently pigeonholed into any set style. They take their influences from the best of the best from the old and the new and blend it into a unique and multifaceted hybrid. They have the groove and melody of the Gothenburg style death metal, the face smashing breakdowns of the hardcore scene topped with the bombastic and epic approach favoured by the frostbitten black metal hordes. Starting only in the summer of 2005, a home recorded demo was put together to showcase the songs Ken had written over the years and featured Ashley Jurgemeyer on piano / keys. Connor Woods laid down the vocals and before long the demo, dubbed Gallow Hill, was born.

These songs were distributed on the Internet via band pages set up on Myspace and Purevolume and, purely by word of mouth, resulted in an astonishing quarter of a million plays in just six months! Inspired by the response to his music, Ken put a full line up together featuring some ex-members of the Metal Blade act Vehemence and started to play local shows with a view to branching out further. Unfortunately this line-up didn't work out and soon Ken was back working solely with Ashley. Local guitarist Brad Riffs was found and a new demo song, entitled Watchtower, was recorded with Ken now also taking up the vocal role. Throughout the line-up changes and everything else, Candlelight records were waiting in the wings and watching developments with baited breath. Once the new stable line-up was put into place, a multi-album, worldwide deal was signed.

The band is currently in pre-production for an as-yet untitled full length. It's scheduled to be recorded in May 2006 with the legendary James Murphy at his new Florida-based production facility. Abigail Williams look forward to hitting the road with a vengeance in the later part of 2006, including a prestigious slot on one of the Emperor reunion shows and a UK tour with friends Suicide Silence.
