3 To Release 'The End Is Begun' Special Edition In Feb. 2008
November 29, 2007
Woodstock, New York based progressive indie rockers 3 are eagerly awaiting the release of the special edition of 'The End Is Begun'. The special edition is going to feature a cover of the Pink Floyd classic See Emily Play as well as a bonus DVD. The DVD will give those who are yet to see 3s mind blowing live show a sneak peak. The live tracks include; Monster, Bramfatura, and Amaze Disgrace. It will also include music videos for the tracks All That Remains and Alien Angel.

The praise for 3 continues to pour in from all over the place including from their musical contemporaries:

It is hard to come by a band that combines numerous musical elements into an appealing combination. 3 is one of those bands. For their newest album, 'The End is Begun', they have created an album that shows they are truly like no other. Each member of the band is an amazing talent on their own. Together they create a sound that will blow your balls off. Enjoy! - Travis Stever (Coheed and Cambria)

Listening to a 3 album or watching them recreate their music live is truly mind-blowing. Be one of the lucky ones to say "I remember them before they were huge", they are that good. - Howard Jones (Killswitch Engage)

3 have it all! Great musicianship, funky grooves, catchy melodies....and their latest CD is my favorite yet! I dig this band so much; they were at the top of my list for the upcoming Progressive Nation tour. - Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater)

One of the great things about having 3 open for Porcupine Tree is how much they made us raise our own game - every night their incendiary 45minute set gave us an almost impossible act to follow. Simply one of the best new live acts around. - Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree)

3 will be hitting the road next year with the Progressive Nation tour which features fellow prog masters Dream Theatre and Opeth, as well as tech death metallers Between The Buried And Me.

'The End Is Begun: Special Edition' hits stores on February 19th, 2008.

& Attitude

3 is a band apart: Dark yet uplifting, spiritual without any connection to religion - theirs is a sound that transcends the genre conformity of modern pop culture. Rapid-fire acoustic guitar infused with dynamic percussion, animated drumming and thunderous bass culminate in a listening experience that is at once accessible and unique. Polyrhythms pulse within a symphony of driving metal guitars and melodic vocal acrobatics. 3 offers musicality without pretension.

The Woodstock, NY-based group began touring nationally in 2003 when they hit the road with Coheed and Cambria. They turned a lot of heads, winning audiences with their passion and unique brand of virtuosity. The buzz had begun, not just amongst music fans but within the industry as well.

Enter 2006, after the successful re-release of Wake Pig on Metal Blade Records, and the completion of their first world tour, 3 returned home to begin work on a new record. Drumming guru, Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello), offered up his legendary studio and drum collection, and so the boys set up shop and recorded their masterpiece: The End Is Begun.

In anticipation of their new record's 7-24-07 release, 3 hit the road with Porcupine Tree in Spring '07 touring all over the US and Canada to rave reviews. One can definitely expect to see great things from this band who has already received over 400,000 plays at MYSPACE.com, over 150,000 downloads at PUREVOLUME.com, and played with the likes of Coheed & Cambria, Porcupine Tree, 36 Crazyfists, Chiodos, Atreyu, Kiss Kiss, Underoath, Boys Night Out, Bad Brains, The Bronx, Straylight Run, Vendetta Red, and Your Enemies Friends, and many more...
